Answer: Great question! It really depends on your individual goal. The Flat Tummy Wheel most definitely works with and without you doing cardio. If your primary goal is to strengthen your abs and core then doing cardio is not required. However, if your aim is weight loss and toning up then it may be a good idea to incorporate a few cardio exercises/sessions in the week - those cardio exercises can be on different days to when you use the ab roller. 

Question: How often (how many days per week and how many sets each time) do I use the Ab roller to be most effective?

Answer: Hi, this depends on your individual goal and past experience in doing ab exercises. As a beginner, it's important to use the ab wheel with the correct form. So I would start off with just 1 to 2 sets per day, and do as many repetitions as you can without losing form. Once you are confident in your form then you can increase the sets to 3 to 4 with up to 15 repetitions. If you are sore from the previous workout then you can leave 1 to 2 days before using the ab wheel again.
